What is Love Stinks?
Love Stinks is making a difference by connecting real love and real action to the stinky issues around us. It all started years ago when Cross Town Impact's director took a journey to Africa. Seeing things that changed his life forever, he witnessed Aids victims in their final hours, visited leper colonies, and encounter countless numbers of people who sometimes owned nothing more than the one t-shirt on their backs. In Canada, most of us are blessed with a seemingly endless supply of food, water, and clothing. Returning to Canada, he created a campaign that helped raise awareness for issues that really stink. Love Stinks is a journey to wear the same t-shirt for five days, and at the same time, step out in genuine action to raise awareness for stinky issues and impact both our community, and global issues.
How to Get Involved?
You can get involved by signing up to participate in our next Love Stinks Campaign! For only 12$, we provide you with a Love-Stinks T-Shirt, a love-stinks pledge form, and our five-day guide and devotional. Open to all ages, you will be challenged every day to raise awareness for a stinky issue and step out by collecting donations from your friends, family, and neighbours for a featured charity. Since Love Stinks conception in 2013, we've been able to raise tens of thousands of dollars for charities including the Brockville and Area Food Bank, Partners for Mental Health, the Brockville Refugee Fund, and L&G Interval House. Get involved today! If you're unable to participate in Love Stinks, you can also donate to Cross Town to sponsor another participant for only 12 dollars.
